Cops search for suspected accessory

One day after arresting former Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez for murder, the Massachusetts State Police have issued a release and wanted poster for another man involved in the same case.
The wanted release was issued Thursday, and police announced an active search for 41-year-old Ernest Wallace, who is wanted on charges of accessory after murder. He is considered "armed and dangerous," the police statement said.
The police requested help locating either Wallace or his car, a silver or gray 2012 Chrysler 300 RI Registration Number 451-375.
The search for Wallace is part of an investigation into the homicide of Odin Lloyd, a 27-year-old semi-pro football player killed on June 17.
Police also have charged 27-year-old Carlos Ortiz as a fugitive of justice in the death of Lloyd. Investigators said Ortiz was arrested in Hernandez’s hometown of Bristol, Conn., and agreed to be transferred to Massachusetts.
Prison records show Ortiz was being held on $1.5 million bail at a Hartford, Conn., jail. His public defender, Alfonzo Sirica, declined to comment about the case.
The wanted release for Wallace and arrest of Ortiz occurred after police arrested Aaron Hernandez on Wednesday. The former Patriot pleaded not guilty to murder and five gun-related charges.
Hernandez was denied bail early Thursday. Bristol County Assistant District Attorney Bill McCauley called the evidence in the slaying of Lloyd overwhelming and said police had made discoveries Wednesday when they searched a condo Hernandez leased and a Hummer registered to him that was parked there.
Prosecutors said Hernandez orchestrated the killing because Lloyd talked to the wrong people at a nightclub. Hernandez, a 2011 Pro Bowl selection who signed a five-year contract with the Patriots worth $40 million, could face life in prison if convicted.
According to FOX 25, police returned to Hernandez's home on Friday morning, searching it for about an hour before leaving again just before 5 a.m.
