Reports: Cowboys, Romo agree to deal
Fri Mar 29, 8:49 PM UTC
Tony Romo is likely to become the Cowboys’ highest paid player in team history, according to multiple reports.
Romo, who was entering the final year of his deal, reached a six-year contract extension with the franchise worth a reported $108 million with $55 million of that guaranteed. The deal will likely allow Romo, 32, to retire with the Cowboys.
The extension will free up a significant amount of cap space, so they will be able to sign any unrestricted free agents, if they choose to do so.
