The Clippers have their coach in place and now it’s time to make some roster moves.
Los Angeles did just that, trading explosive guard Eric Bledsoe and veteran forward Caron Butler to the Suns as part of a three-team trade, according to Yahoo! Sports.
The Clippers received guard J.J. Redick from the Bucks and forward Jared Dudley from the Suns. Milwaukee received two second-round picks as part of the deal.
Bledsoe, who had been the focus of numerous trade rumors, backed up Chris Paul last season. He averaged 8.5 points and 3.1 assists in 20.4 minutes per game and is expected to be a coveted free agent next summer if the Suns don't sign him to an extension.
Redick, who reportedly will sign a four-year deal with the Clippers, scored a career-high 14.1 points last season with the Magic and Bucks. He will likely start at shooting guard for LA, with Jamal Crawford coming off the bench.
Los Angeles traded a first-round pick to the Celtics for coach Doc Rivers in June.
